The E. Guigal winery was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal. Already at the age of 14, Etienne experimented with grapes and produced the first wines. In the following years, the family business acquired many vineyards on the banks of the Rhone. Thus, the history of the winery shaped the French banks of the approximately 800 km long river.
