Leo Hillinger took over the winery from his father in 1990. Since the handover he has constantly developed his business. Today the Hillinger wine is internationally known. Since 2010 Hillinger pursues organic viticulture. Eiswein is made by harvesting frozen grapes. Harvesting takes place at a minimum temperature of -7°C.Tasting notes:In the glass golden yellow. In the nose typical of Traminer grapes, roses and a hint of acacia honey. Sweet and fruity on the palate. Long lasting in the finish. Grape variety: Traminer. Vinification: Fermentation and ageing in stainless steel tanks. Residual sugar: 250.0 g/l. Acidity: 7,9 g/l. Drinking temperature: 8-10°C. Storage potential: Up to 30 years. The ice wine goes very well with desserts, blue cheese or espresso.
