Seewinkel, with its Pannonian climate, endless plains and numerous lakes, is one of the world's outstanding wine-growing regions, with 2000 hours of sunshine a year. Especially here, the Austrian Zweigelt grape matures into a massive, plump wine with enormous potential. Tasting notes:Deep dark ruby with delicate violet hues and almost black core in the glass. On the nose of ripe fruit bouquet with cherries, cassis, blueberries, chocolate, cocoa, orange zest, herbs and toasted notes. On the palate, all the fruit power contained in the Grande Cuvée unfolds. In addition to currants, plums and wild cherries, aromas of vanilla, nougat and espresso also emerge. In the end, the red wine shows itself juicy, dense and long lasting. Grape varieties: Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon. Soil: Loamy sand with high gravel content, sandy soil. Aging: 12 months in new small oak barrels. Acidity: 4,8 g/l. Residual sugar: 1,6 g/l. Bottling: August 2021. Drinking temperature: 16-18°C. Storage potential: Until 2029. This wine is excellent with beef and stewed dishes with dark sauces.
