The Tement winery is located in southern Styria, on the border with Slovenia. 95% of the vineyards are covered with white grape varieties such as Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskalteller, Pinot Blanc, Morillon and Traminer. The wines, known as "Steirische Klassik", are harvested from several vineyards and aged in stainless steel tanks. In addition to the "Steirische Klassik" there are also the site wines. Each site brings its own character, which makes the site wines very special wines. The wines are matured in large and small wooden barrels. Awards: - 96+ points from Robert Parker - 97+/100 points from The Wine Adcovate Tasting notes:In the nose deep and powerful, spicy and pithy with many aromas. Very elegant and mineral. On the palate with a pleasant structure, flints, thyme, currants, salt flowers and preserved lemons emerge. Long lasting in the finish. The wine of this fine vintage can already be drunk a little due to the longer ageing (24 months), but we recommend a bottle ageing of 2-4 years to let the typical "Zieregg aromas" come to expression. Potential for 20 years and more. Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Maturation: 24 months in large neutral wooden barrels. Soil: Coral limestone, limestone weathered rock. Residual sugar: 1,1 g/l. Acidity: 6,4 g/l. Closure: Glass closure. Drinking suggestions: 8-10°C. Storage potential: Until 2040. This wine harmonizes perfectly with fish dishes and vegetables.
