The Viña Real Gran Reserva is a red wine from the Viña Real winery in Laguardia, D.O.C. Rioja. The Viña Real brand was launched in the 1920s. The wines mature in oak barrels, which are sourced directly from this area. The Viña Real Gran Reserva is made from a selection of Tempranilla and Graciano grapes from the best vineyards. After harvest, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks and macerate for about 15 days. Fermentation takes place in French and American oak barrels. The maturation lasts 24 months. Tasting notes:Ruby red with garnet reflections in the glass. In the nose very intensive and complex, after coffee, leather, spices and roasting flavours as well as stewed fruits and nuts. At the palate very easily, with a long reverberation. Grape varieties: 95% Tempranillo, 3% Graciano. Residual sugar: 3,50 g/l. Drinking temperature: 16-18°C. Closure: Natural cork.
